Melbourne day 4: Great Ocean Road and Crown

We were on the road again..on our way to Great Ocean Road..The road trips were quite tiring actually..cos they were so long..i didn't feel like getting out of the car at times..We went to the 12 Apostles at the Great Ocean Road..I loved the sea..me n michelle played in the sea for a while..really nice and refreshing! We had a picnic next to the sea :) This was the beach that we played on..seems like a scene from famous five :D This was one of the beaches/lookout points that we stopped at on the way to the 12 ApostlesThe 12 Apostles.. i think that there are only a few apostles left cos quite a few have collapsed already haha 1 of them just collapsed last yr..i think that each rock is supposed to represent 1 apostle but i'm not sure which rocks represent the apostles cos they can jus be new/miscellaneous rocksI like the shape of this rock:)Other lookoutpoints at the 12 apostlesWe went to the crown in the night..the fireballs display was really nice..the heat was quite intense man..I liked the night view of melbourne city..really nice! We ate dessert at one of the posh looking places in Crown, where 1 slice of cake cost 10 bucks..damn ex la! n the water cost us 7 bucks..the service wasnt good too..but the ambience was nice
I think i need a better camera..my camera is really old n the pics dont turn out v nice..quite blur..not as clear as i would like it to be

Melbourne day 3: Philip Island

I spent a lot more time and money on sightseeing than on shopping in Melbourne, which is a good thing! I only spent money twice on shopping :)
I went to Philip Island with Michelle ( Singaporean), Christian (German), Suzzane (German) and Jas (Thailand)..Christian and Jas were such good navigators that we didn't lose our way at all and we managed to cover almost the whole of Philip Island. We went on a road trip..had sandwiches and cookies in the car for our meals..It was such a windy day that I almost got blown away by the wind..Christian had to hold me down, in order to prevent me from swaying with the wind..haha It was so windy that my ears hurt..
We visited Cowes, the pyramid rock, Koala Conservation Centre, a walk along the swamps, Seal Rocks...The sea view at the Seal Rock was some of the most beautiful sea views i have ever seen.. it was lovely to see the waves smashing on/against the rocks..We spent a long time there admiring the sea..

The penguin parade was the highlight of the day..the penguins were so small and cute..We saw hundreds of penguins..They would all hurdle together at the shoreline and form into groups before making their way inland in groups.. This was cos they were most vulnerable to predators out in the open..This was also the time where the penguins were most scared..The penguins appeared in the evening..after the sun had set..cos they were more vulnerable in daylight..We were told that this is the season for the mating of the penguins..that was why so many of them came onshore to breed..I saw 2 penguins mating together..n the male was making a lot of noise..haha! He does this to excite the female.

From this trip, I learnt that in order to communicate with people from different countries, I had to phrase my sentences correctly, give complete sentences that were gramatically correct and not leave out large portions of what i want to say (I always assume that pple know what i mean)..But it was a good experience gg on a road trip with people from different countries cos u learn how to build rapport with them, crack jokes with them...I got along pretty well with them and we enjoyed each other's company!
This was at the Koala Conservation Park..Do I look like the Koala?hahaThis is a picture of a swamp in Australia..it was pretty nice actually..We took a 20 min walk along the swamp..
These are pics taken at the seal rock, where the waves smash against the rocks to form streams of water..I love the scenery here the most!
There were so many sea gulls on the hills as this is the mating season for them too..Many of them were laying eggs or protecting their nests.
We couldn't take any photos at the penguin parade, so i can't show u the photos..Daryl couldn't really come sightseeing with me cos he still had school and lots of assignments due tt week..but he would wake up really early in the morning to send me to the train station in the city cos he said sth abt how its not v safe in Melbourne..but i think its okay la..so he spent time w me in the evenings and nights and during the weekends :D

Melbourne day 2 : Shopping at Chappel Street

Melbourne day 2: I went shopping at Chappel Street with Sherlynn, Cheryl, Elanor, Onn Leng, Debbie, Isabel.. and they are such inspirational shoppers! They win me hands down! All of them are such fashionable shoppers with good taste and they looked good in most stuff that they try on..haha I was inspired mans! they spent so much money each..each gal spent at least 200 bucks tt day.. I think only bel and me spent below 200..haha n i heard that they go shopping quite often somemore..haiz.. so good ah..now i can't seem to stop thinking of gg shopping, but i've no money to shop this mth..so i guess i will have to save money.. Anyways, Chappel Street is a street with high end and middle end fashionable boutiques..I really enjoyed myself there..bought a waist belt (30), a high waisted skirt(34) and a Sportsgirl dress (30) and sunglasses (25)..I wanna shop AGAIN soon but i can't :(
After shopping, Daryl brought me out for dinner with his housemates and elaine and her bf..We went to this place which had bak Ku teh..not bad;)

Whee!!!! St Kilda's playground

Yay! i'm not alone again cos my housemate is back..the house's not so scary anymore..haha I realise that i hate being home alone (esp if its overnight)..I've been studying the whole of today with Renu and Sarah..haha..not bad huh, its studying time again cos assignments are gg to be due soon and exams are coming!

I went to St kilda's playground with my cell last sat..:D n it was so fun! it was like reliving my childhood days again cos we played catching, swing,see-saw, went down the slides, and went on the flying fox..it was an adult playground..haha n i dont rmb screaming so much in a long time..

This is St Kilda's playground..It was really cold at first, but thank God the sun came out!Pics of my cell.....I guess u will have to look real closely to see their faces..
My cell leader, Jia Ching, gg down the slide! haha it took so much persuasion to get him to go down the slide..he kept wanting to laze ard and go back to the table with food and his newspapers..haha! but he played catching with us in e end..n he said that this was the fastest he ran in a long time..and that this was enough exercise for a few months..haha! worse than me mansThis was the see-saw where i kept screaming..haha cos it got quite scary at times, esp if somebody got off the other side and the see-saw suddenly went down on my side..that's me behind Debra, u can only see my legsn that's the swing that goes round and round..until u feel sick
irritating Sung pushed all the gals round and round on this merry go round until we felt soooooooo dizzy but we got our revenge in the end la..haha!
n this is the flying fox which all of us sat on..I screamed when it hit the other side cos it jerked so hard that i almost flew off..but it was fun!
